Police Department Subject: PURCHASE OF PERSONAL COMPUTERS
This memo is to inform the City Council that we have received
quotes for the purchase of two (2) personal computers, monitors,
printers, and all necessary software. The best price received was
from AmeriData.
The price from AmeriData was $5,664.00. There is an expense for
connecting these personal computers to our ENFORS system and that
will be approximately $550.00.
I am requesting authorization to purchase both PC's if possible.
In the 1995 budget, I requested $3,500.00 for the purchase of one
(1) PC. Also, as I indicated to all of you recently, we received
a grant through Safe & Sober in the amount of $1,500.00 for the
purchase of one (1) personal computer. This grant money and the
$3,500.00 in the 1995 budget provides us with $5,000.00 for this
requested purchase.
• I am, therefore, requesting authorization to purchase two PC's from
AmeriData for the above mentioned price. I will be in attendance
at Monday's meeting with supporting documents.
