Authorization to hire Brenda Gustafson as lead liquor store clerk fox Westbound liquor store effective
Monday, June 14, 2010 at step A of pay grade 4. Ms. Gustafson will be eligible to move to step B on
December 14, 2010.
Background/Discussion
On Apri119, 2010, the City Council authorized the advertising of the lead liquor store clerk position at
Westbound liquor store. This was due to the recent resignation of the full-time liquor store clerk at
Westbound liquor store. The reason for the position being a lead liquor store clerk is due to the transfer
of Assistant Manager Steve Tillman to Northbound liquor store, this creates a need for some supervisory
duties at Westbound liquor store. This position will assist liquor store manager Dave Potvin in the daily
operations of the store.
Liquor Store Operations Manager Dave Potvin, Assistant Liquor Store Manager Steve Tillman, Human
Resource Representative Lauren Wipper, and I interviewed several applicants and are very excited to have
Brenda Gustafson join our Westbound liquor store staff. Brenda is prepared to start June 14, 2010
pending City Council approval.
Financial ImRact
This position will be in pay grade 4 step A. The entire position is funded from the Municipal liquor store
budget.
