Action Requested
Staff is requesting authorization to purchase a F550 truck with dump body at a total cost $51,152.
Background/Discussion
The 2010 capital equipment budget, recommended by the fleet committee and approved by the city
council includes a F550 truck with dump body for the parks maintenance division. This truck was
recently made available under the State of Minnesota purchasing contract. The vendor is Midway Ford
Commercial Fleet and Government Sales, Roseville, Minnesota.
Financial Impact
$50,500 was budgeted in the equipment replacement fund budget. Actual cost of the truck and equipment
is $51,152. The amount over the estimated budget amount will be made up from other fleet purchases
that have come in under fox 2010.
