SUBJECT: Discuss EDA role with Energy City Commission to foster
Economic Development/Marketing opportunities
EDA President Touchette serves on the ECC as an EDA representative. For the past few
months the Energy City Commission has been working on updating the commission's
mission statement and goals.
EDA President Touchette would like the EDA's discussion and input regarding possible
synergies and partnership opportunities with Energy City. Identifying and clarifying the
EDA's desire to continue and/or expand the level of partnership and the methods utilized
to harness the benefits of Energy City and how it is, or can be, utilized as a tool to support
and strengthen economic development opportunities and promotion of the City of Elk
River.
