Authorization to Purchase Squad Cars
This is to inform the City Council that I have received quotes for the purchase of 2002
squad cars. I received a quote from Elk River Ford. Saxon Motors did not submit a quote.
The second quote was from the State Contract from Superior Ford.
Elk River Ford submitted a quote of $21,659 for the purchase of a 2002 Ford Crown
Victoria. Superior Ford quoted a bid from the State Contract for a 2002 Ford Crown
Victoria of $21,517. The bid from Elk River Ford was $142.00 more per squad car.
As in previous case history, I recommend accepting the local dealership (Elk River Ford)
quote of $21,659. The request is to purchase two (2) 2002 Ford Crown Victorias.
