Regulation of Parking in Lions Park Lots
Over the past couple weeks, we have been researching what might work best in regards to
regulating the two (2) Lions Park parking lots. Pat Klaers and I decided that restricting the
parking lots to the use that they were intended for would be most appropriate. We
determined that it should be straightforward. Our recommended language is that for the
east lot, it would state, "This Parking Lot is for Lions Park and the Boys and Girls Club Use
Only. Any Violators will be Ticketed." For the west lot, it should state, "This Parking Lot is
for Lions Park and Recreation Depa~nixent Use Only. Violators will be Ticketed."
I have discussed this wording with City Attorney Peter Beck and he feels that it would be
upheld in court if someone would plead "not guilty." We, therefore, recommend the above
