City Council's approval of the lowest quote to mill and overlay four areas of City streets.
Bacl~ground/Discussion
The four areas that staff proposes overlaying are:
• 193` Avenue between Highway 169 and Evans Avenue
• Tyler Street at 198' Avenue
• Zane Street in front of Walmart
• Orono Parkway between City Hall and the Library
Staff has requested quotes and due to the busy contracting season all the quotes have not been received at
the writing of this request. I will distribute the quotes at the Council meeting and be present to answer
questions.
Financial Impact
The general fund budget line item for maintenance overlays has $50,000 available and Tim Simon has
approved use of these funds for the overlays.

SUBJECT: Contracted Street Maintenance Overlays
Staff recommends overlaying the following four areas:
• 193` Avenue between Highway 169 and Evans Avenue
• Tyler Street at 198' Avenue
• Zane Street in front of Walmart
• Orono Parkway between City HaIl and the Library
The following is a summary of quotes Staff has received to overlay the above four areas of
City streets:
1. Midwest Asphalt Corporation - $54,455.50
2. Hardrives, Inc. - $49,953.50
3. Rum River Contracting Company - $36,030.28
Staff recommends approval of the lowest quote from Rum River Contracting in the amount
of $36,030.28.
