SUBJECT: Major Park Use/ Taste of Elk River
Request
The Elk River Rotary Club has requested use of Lions Park and Lions Park Center for their
Taste of Elk River event. The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 11`s from 5-9pm and
use of the park is requested from Wednesday, May 10`h through Friday, May 12`h for set up
and take down.
Information for your consideration
• This is the first event of this nature at Lions Park Center.
• The Rotary has held many successful events in the City of Elk River.
• The event is a 21 and older event and tickets will be sold in advance by Rotary
members.
• Elk River Police will be providing security and checking IDs.
• Elk River Parks and Recreation will have a staff person on site.
• The group is responsible for all set up and cleanup.
Staff Recommendations
Approval of this event with the following fees:
1. Lions Park Center Meeting Room $25 rent, $15/hour for building
supervision, and $100 refundable deposit
2. Lions Park Center Kitchen $40 rent
3. Portable Toilets $80/extra unit
Total due: $307.50 plus $100 refundable deposit
