Action Requested
The Mayor and Council are asked to adopt the attached resolution acknowledging the following monetary
donations pursuant to Minnesota State Statute X465.03 to be used for general firefighting purposes:
^ $25.00 from Martha Travis
^ $25.00 from Patricia and Ronald Cloud
Background/Discussion
The Elk River Fire Department received the above donations in memoriam of former firefighter Dan
Greene with the intent that the money be used for general firefighting purposes.
Financial Impact
Total contributions in the amount of $50.00 were received.

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received $25.00 donations from Martha Travis and
Patricia/Ronald Cloud in memoriam of Dan Greene with the intent they be used by the Elk
River Fire Department fox general firefighting purposes; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
by at least atwo-thirds vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Ms. Travis and Mr.
and Mrs. Cloud fox their donations.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 19`'' day of July 2010.
