A RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR A TRANSIT
IMPROVEMENT AREA DESIGNATION, THE TRANSIT IMPROVEMENT
AREA PLAN AND EXECUTION OF SUBSEQUENT AGREEMENTS AND
CONTRACTS
BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Elk River has approved the Transit Improvement
Area Designation application submitted to the Minnesota Department of Employment &
Economic Development (DEED) on July 16, 2010 for the Elk River Northstar Commuter
Rail Station.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Elk River has approved the Transit
Improvement Area Plan described in the application as the 171St Ave Focus Area Study on
June 21, 2010.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon approval of this application by the state, the
Mayor and City Administrator may enter into agreement with the State of Minnesota for the
above-referenced plan, and that the City of Elk River certifies compliance with all applicable
laws and regulations as stated in all contract agreements.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 12~' day of July, 2010.
