Consider Special City Council Meetings

The location of the City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 27, 2003, is changing from our
regular City Hall location. Accordingly, it is appropriate for the City Council to call this
meeting as a special meeting. The plan is to meet with the Sherburne County Board of
Commissioners at 6:30 p.m. at the Government Center. The agenda will include Consent
items and a discussion with the Board on issues of mutual interest. At this time, the focus of
the joint meeting appears to be transportation issues.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council call a special meeting for Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at
6:30 p.m., at the Sherbume County Government Center for the purpose of approving
Consent agenda items and meeting with the Board to discuss issues of mutual interest.

SUBJECT: Consider Special City Council Meeting
June 5, 2003, 6:30 p.m. with the HRA
At its May 12th meeting, HRA Commissioner Motto provided a verbal report on the recent
activities of the Housing & Redevelopment Authority. Commissioner Motin invited the City
Council to attend a Special Meeting of the HRA for the purpose of hearing a presentation
on the Downtown Revitalization Project by the developer, MetroPlains Development.
In the instance that a quorum of the City Council attends the meeting, it is appropriate for
the City Council to consider calling a Special Meeting for June 5, 2003 at 6:30 p.m.
