98-013 ORD ORDINANCE NO. 98-13 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1100.10 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO PARKING REGULATIONS The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. That Section 1100.10, o£the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances - entitled "Parking Regulations" shall be amended by adding a new Section 10 entitled "Overnight Parking" and by changing the existing Section 10 entitled "Petty Misdemeanor; Penalty," to Section 11. 10. Overnight Parking. It shall be unlawful for any person to leave, park, permit or allow any motor vehicle to stand or remain upon any city street or right-of-way for more than twenty-four hours at any time. 11. Petty Misdemeanor; Penalty. Any violation of any of the provisions of Section 1100.10 shall constitute a petty misdemeanor punishable by payment, upon conviction, of a fine as determined by resolution by the City Council. The fine shall be doubled if the fine is not paid within seven (7) days, and/or if th~ violator has received a parking violation within the last thirty (30) days. Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the date of its publication. Passed and adopted this l0th City of Elk River.
