Included is a rate analysis specific to„~~ electric usage for the past 12 months. As you can see, the real numbers that ~ was using do not reflect all of the riders and adjustments that are passed on to the customers from Xcel and Connexus. After including all the costs that would apply to ~ ~ electric usage, Elk River Municipal Utilities is very competitive. I've mailed a hard copy to,~. Rates that the utilities charges for electricity are far more than conexus and excel energy and many other power company thru out the state. maybe its time to do something about it. I'm sure the city council has influence on what goes on over there. Maybe sell the utility, it would be in the best interest of all the customers or bring the rates in line with other utilities. why should we pay 0.1139 per kwh when most are at 0.711. Those are real numbers that make the difference between living in this city or not for. alot of people. thank you for your time >~ ~~ '~~. ~ gi'n` c->:'3 •~vav, I~>~~xlicip~~ ~JJtiliti~s 13t~(iy Clnmu !';nku•;,~ o I'.cl, li„x -1;h .luly 20, 2010 Phony. 763.~t<} 1.2020 Fas: 7G3.~iq 1.8009 [ilk River, i`~1N SS330 Subject Rate Conlpal'tson, I~;RMU vs Conncxus L'llergy and Xccl I-lergy Phis Teller and attached spreadsheet are in response to your recent e-mail to Councilman Pauli Motitl rcgarc[ing high energy costs from I:Ik River I~~tunuclpal ULIIItICS (1_;RNII)).
