Request to Approve Quotes for ~t~VTP Pole Barn

The Waste Water Treatment Plant received quotes for the erection of a pole barn to be
located at the bio-solids application site. The barn will allow us to store our application
equipment off of Highway 10 and will also reduce application time significantly. This year,
for the first time, we contracted to have the solids hauled and our equipment loaded over to
the site. With some overt/me hours we were able to apply 300,000 gallons of bio-solids in
two and half days (normally this would have taken two weeks).
We received the following quotes:
· Midwestern Pole Barn & Supplies (Eagan)
· Structural Buildings Inc. (Becket)
· Ebert Construction (Corcoran)
$12,242.15
$17,750.00
$17,546.00
Action Requested
The City Council is asked to accept the quote of $12,242.15 from Midwestern Pole Barn.
The 2003 budget contains funding for this project. The quote does not include permits or
Class 5 for the floor. The Waste Water Treatment Plant will obtain the permits and the
Street Department will grade the site and lay the Class 5.
