Call Meeting to Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Public Library Board
was called to order at 6:35 p.m. by Board Chair John Dietz.
2. Consider June 22, 2010 Library Board A eg nda.
JAYNE DIETZ MOTIONED AND KAREN STELK SECONDED TO APPROVE
THE AGENDA AS PRESENTED. MOTION PASSED 3-0.
3. Consider Minutes of Mav 25, 2010 Library Board Meeting.
KAREN STELK MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MAY 25, 2010
LIBRARY BOARD MEETING. JAYNE DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION PASSED 3-0.
4. Consider June 22, 2010 Treasurer's Report.
KAREN STELK MOTIONED TO APPROVE THE JUNE 22, 2010
TREASURER'S REPORT. JAYNE DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE
MOTION PASSED 3-0.
5. Librarian's Report -Mick Stoffers
5.1. The SMART System has been installed.
5.2. Community Room Policy
We agreed upon leaving the policy "as is." This means no exchange of
money can take place. Brandi advised us based upon other Community
Room policy issues that if "no political party" can use the room, that
needs to be in writing.

POLICY.KAREN STELK SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED
3-0.
5.3. Microfilm Reader Printer
The one currently at the Library is broken. Many parts are unavailable,
this is mainly due to the fact that it has gone to a digital format. The reader
printer enables patrons to look at back issues for example of the Star
News. It is used approximately 12 times a year.
KAREN STELK MOTIONED TO APPROVE INVESTING UP TO $500 TO
REPAIR. JAYNE DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED
3-0.
6. New Business
A patron complained to John Dietz about having trouble finding a book and not
receiving help from an employee of the Library. John is going to get more details.
Adiournment
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7 p.m. Next meeting
will be held on July 27, 2010.
