HRA Update
Councilmember Motin is a member of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA).
The last HRA meeting was held on June 30, 2003.
The June 30th NRA meeting included a discussion on the MetroPlains redevelopment concept for
the Downtown Revitalization Project. A report on the Downtown Revitalization Project is included
later on the City Council meeting agenda.
Also at its June 30th meeting the HRA provided comment on the proposed Downtown
Development District and Standards. Items of primary concern included the impact on existing
businesses that may expand, the impact on the MetroPlains proposal, and a suggestion to move the
boundary line of the district to include the buildings directly west of Lowell Ave.
The HRA also heard a presentation from representatives of the St. Cloud t-IRA regarding its housing
programs. Attached for your information is the PowerPoint presentation from the St. Cloud HRA.
The next regular meeting of the HRA is scheduled July 28, 2003.
