Authorize quotes received to complete the extension of the right hand turn lane at the northeast corner
of Main Street and Trunk I-3ghway 169 and to close the access to the property located at 50 Main Street
NW (formerlythe Northbound Liquor Store).
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION.
As directed at the August 16th City Council meeting we have obtained quotes to complete the work
associated with extending the right hand turn lane for west bound motorists traveling on Main Street as
they approach Trunk Highway (T.H.) 169.
Upon City Council approval, the Street Department will begin work on the turn lane. The project is
expected to be complete within two weeks from starting the work. 'This schedule will depend on weather
and the ability of the private utility companies to move their affected facilities in a timely fashion.

Funding for the project will come from the Street Improvement Reserve fund. The project was
originally estimated to cost $30,000.
