New Firefighters
The Addition of New Firefighters to the
Elk River Fire Department
As you are aware in a prior memo, the Elk River Fire Department has been
in the process of hiring new firefighters for the department. During the past
few months, we have advertised, screened and interviewed potential
candidates for the position of paid-on-call firefighter for the Elk River Fire
Department. With the process now complete, I am bringing to the council,
the names of three candidates to fill the positions of paid-on-call firefighters
for the Elk River Fire Department.
The Elk River Fire Department personnel committee has selected Stacy
Olsen, Mark Richardson, and Tony Lee-Johnson. The Elk River Fire
Department Personnel Committee is submitting the names of three excellent
firefighter candidates for the position of paid-on-call firefighter. With
approval of the City Council, and completion of the firefighter physicals and
stress tests, the new candidates shall start with the Elk River Fire
Department approximately, February 25, 1997.
I will be in attendance at the February 3, Council meeting to answer any
questions in reference to the addition of three fire fighter candidates for the
Elk River Fire Department. If you have any questions, please feel free to
