Action is requested for Council motion adopting the attached Resolution accepting the donation of $600
for a flat screen TV fox the Elk River Activity Center.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Some of the Activity Center participants have requested that we show movies. The large screen TV is
not in a location that works for this. Also we did not have money in our budget. A request for a
contribution was made to Great River Energy. They granted our request as a thank you fox the center's
ongoing "commitment" to the community.

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $600.00 donation from Great River Energy
with the intent it be used by the Elk River Activity Center for a flat screen TV and wall
mount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River
to acknowledge the support and commend Great River Energy for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 18`" day of October
2010.
