I have talked further with Tom Dumont regarding this program. He indicated that he felt that the program would be good for law enforcement, school district personnel involved in pedestrian movements, elected officials, and community representatives concerned about pedestrian movements. I asked Mr. Dumont to submit the City of Elk River's name for consideration for one of the interactive workshops to be put on by the Federal Highway Administration. It is my understanding that, if selected, the City will only be responsible for providing the meeting space and selecting .25 pa.rticipants. The Federal Highway Administration provides all materials and instructors for this four-hour workshop. I will keep you informed if and when I hear more from Tom Dumont as to whether or not the City of Elk River is selected for this workshop. If you have any questions in the meantime, please call.
