Re: March 29th "Youth Initiatives" Special Event & Skatepark Benefit Concert
I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on this exciting event and clarify the objective.
- This event will be managed by our program for the city of Elk River as a "Youth Initiatives" event.
The event is being planned and organized with the help of several student skatepark enthusiasts.
- The event will take place at the Ice Arena on Saturday March 29th. From 7:00 - 9:00 pm there will
be opportunity for "open" in-line skating and skateboarding ( no ramps ), & from 9:00 - midnight ther6
will be a concert for youth with local youth bands performing.
- The youth are working hard to help promote and organize this event. There will be a $5 admittance
charge.
- Appropriate security measures are also being coordinated between our office and Rich at the arena.
- The youth organizers that are involved request that all proceeds after expenses be designated ~s a
contribution towards development of a skatepark.
Please contact me with any questions you may have. Thank you.
