With the ordering of a feasibility study for the improvements to Macon Street and
Riverview Drive to serve Outlots A and B of Country Crossing 3rd Addition, it will be
necessary to hold a public hearing. Staff is concerned about the time frame of these
improvements if they are to be completed in the 1997 construction season. Therefore,
we would like to suggest that the City Council by motion designated that the public
hearing be held on May 5, 1997. We will have the feasibility study prepared for the
Council meeting on April 21, 1997, at which time a formal resolution adopting the
feasibility study and setting the date for the public hearing can be adopted. The first
notice would appear in the local paper on Wednesday, April 23, 1997. By setting the
date for the hearing at the April 7th City Council meeting, this will allow staff time to
prepare the notice for the newspaper and the mailed notices.
