SUBJECT: Temporary Part-Time Employees
The 1997 budget has $4,600 for a part-time employee, but due to Joe
Ferrato's resignation, I am asking Council permission to hire two temporary
part-time employees for a 12 week period this summer. The people I hope to
get will be graduating from St. Cloud Technical College this spring. The idea
being by the end of the summer, we could offer one of them a full-time
position instead of a layoff.
Action Requested
I am requesting the acceptance of Joe Ferrato's resignation and the
authorization to hire two temporary part-time employees. I would
recommend pay grad 8, Step A (9.65/hour) for the summer and then to Step F
(12.07/hour) if one of them became a full-time employee.
