AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
AMENDING SECTION 54 -31 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES
RELATING TO PARK CLOSING HOURS
The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1. That Section 54 -31 titled Closing Hours of Elk River City Code shall be
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 54 -31. Closing hours.
f a� No person shall enter or remain upon the grounds of any public park within the city after
10:00 p.m. or before 6:00 a.m. Any _person involved in a City sponsored /sanctioned
program or activity may be allowed to enter or remain upon the grounds of any public
park within the city at any time.
Individuals shall be allowed to enter or remain upon the grounds of Hillside City Park
and Woodland Trails Park within the City until 12:00 a.m. under the following_
circumstances:
1) A permit to enter or remain in these two parks is approved by the Recreation
Manager or designee and the users intended purpose complies with all special use
requirements.
• 2) Alf persons in the park after 10:00 p.m. must display their permit as required
through the permitting process.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect upon publication as provided by law.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 1" day of
November, 2010.
