Elk River Library Board Minutes

Meeting was called to order at 6:39pm by Eleanor Holm.
It was determined that a Quorum was present.
Action: Minutes of November 28, 2000. A motion was made by Anderson and seconded by Holm to
approve the minutes of November, 28, 2000. Approved unanimously.
Correspondence: None
Treasurers Report Stoffers explained the deficit discrepancy from last meeting as revenues have
not kept up with expenditures and the deficit was from the reserve account which will be paid back
as revenue comes back into line. Anderson moved to accept the November treasurers report,
seconded by Hangaard. Approved unanimously.
Librarians Report Stoffers
Old Business The counter top has been repaired. The video shelves and magazine racks are
in place.
New Business The opening on the Library Board has had a few applicants. Stoffers is POC.
The automatic door opener is not working, suspect a burned out motor. Stoffers calling the City.
New inspection required by the city for the Backflow Prevention Device. Stoffers coordinating with
the city to schedule. Oleksowicz reported that grant money has been issued for thirteen libraries to
have their Internet access upgraded to Tl lines. Computers have been purchased for the additional
lines that will be available once Tl comes on line. The GRRL Web page has also been updated and
upgraded. Several new data bases are available.
