Security Issues -The police department did a presentation on basic safety ~" ~. 1 r ~,,~'~~ , ~ •' 's#`~ ;
issues involved in working with the public. I have been checking into options
available with the system we have in place and will update the board on my
findings. For $100 or less we could hook up a panic button under the counter
which would activate a silent alarm. Additional alarms would be about $15.00.
New Business
Carpet Cleaning - We have contracted with ServicelVlaster to clean the carpeting
in the main library and in the community room. Sue will meet him at the library
on Sunday, October 3, 1999. By doing it on Sunday the carpeting will have
plenty of time to dry.
ServiceMaster has a maintenance contract available for us to discuss.
Someone would come in every two months and burnish the carpet. It would take
about 1/2 hour to do the job and 2 hours to dry. This would cost about $75.00
each session. ($450.00) plus an annual extration with a cost of about $700.00.
Sign Options Through The City -Sue has put together a package of options that
the city has available for signage-
