October 28, 1997
Board Members:

Also present: Mick Stoffers, Librarian - Brady Halvorson,City
Meeting was called to order at 7:05 by Chair McNair.
Brady Halvorson from City Planning presented 2 plans for
the new parking lot for our review. Work will begin in
the spring on the former Faye Ryding property acquired
by the city.
Minutes from August were approved as presented.
No correspondence or suggestion box items to discuss.
Acceptance for all bills and budget updates for July, August
and September was moved by Mary and seconded by Linda. All in favor.
Old Business:
Ryding property has been acquired by the City as stated above
and the house will be destroyed soon.
Lights for the parking lot are here and will be installed soon.
New Business:
The dead trees have been removed.
The mat in the entry has been repaired.
The Board agreed with Mick's suggestion that we purchase a
plaque for the entry containing names of persons who have
given memorial gifts to the library. She will investigate
this and report to the Board next month.
Mick reports that circulation this year has been 1500-2000
higher per month than the same month in 1996.
