Flower Plantings
Last year the City Council approved approximately $2,900 in funds from the
MnDOT Highway corridor beautification fund for flower plantings at the
Chamber site, Jackson Square, EDA site, Library, and City Hall.
This year I would request that the City Council authorize spending $300 for
flower plantings at City Hall and the EDA site from park dedication funds,
$800 for plantings in Jackson Square from the highway corridor fund, and
$1,000 for plantings at the Library from the library fund.
The plants on the retaining wall at the Chamber site would be flowering
bushes costing about $1,500 and paid for by the Electrical Utilities
contribution for landscaping the UPA Drive water treatment building.
