The City Code, section 4G-34 (a)(8) xequues that sidewalks be kept free of snow and ice during regular
business hours in commercial/industrial, and within 24 hours after a snowfall within residential zoned
districts. The snow process will follow the grass process: notification, allow fox 14 days (for the first
instance), then the City will abate.
This year, the City requested bids a bit differently than last year. Last year, we requested bids based on a
strict per hoax rate. We found that these numbers may be easy to manipulate. This year, we asked fox
bids based on linear feet. We felt this would be easier to predict fox property owners at the end of the
year. An advertisement was published in the Star News at the beginning of the month. Receiving zero
replies, staff mailed out requests to four local companies directly.
The City received two proposals fox snow removal abatement. The City requested proof of insurance
and workers compensation insurance and the per 100-foot bid amount. Only one of the bids included the
per foot amount. Staff is xecotntxlending Greenscape Companies, Inc., believing that they will
satisfactorily meet the requirements at a reasonable cost to the City property owner. Greenscape
proposes a rate of $70 per 100 lineal feet, ox $120 per 200 lineal feet.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None. Fees incurred will be billed to the property owner, and if unpaid, will be assessed to the taxes.

All areas to be plowed will be clearly marked by the customer. If areas are not marked Larson Companies will not be held responsible for any damage done
to sod, walls, building, sprinkler heads, etc. that are beyond the boundaries not clearly visible to the driver.
Because Larson Companies makes every effort to be as precise as possible, we will not be held responsible for any damage to driveway, asphalt or concrete.
All billing shall occur on the first of every month and will be due upon receipt. Any payment not received by the 15`h of the month will be charged a late fee
of $15.00.
No refund, deductions, etc. will be issued for any problems that may occur unless called in within 24 hours after plowing.
Larson Companies will provide all labor, supervision, equipment and materials necessary to fulfill this agreement. Contractor carries
$1,000,000.00 of general liability and worker's compensation insurance. This agreement may be cancelled by either party in the event of a
default by the other party in its performance under this agreement, by giving 30 days written notice to the other party of their intent to
cancel and an opportunity to cure the default, and all sums owed will be paid to that date. Customer also agrees to pay all costs, including
legal expenses and attorney's fees, incurred in the collecting from Customer any unpaid amounts due Contractor.
Acceptance of Proposal: The above prices, specifications and conditions are satisfactory and we hereby accept. Payment will
be made as outlined above.
