SUBJECT: Foreclosure Forum Update
Staff will be speaking at a free community foreclosure forum on January 15`'' at the Elk River
YMCA from gam-11am. Other speakers include Alan Sakry from Mortgages Unluizited and Jeff
Engle from Keller Williams Realty. Staff will be discussing the City's foreclosures initiatives and
strategies, which include the foreclosure tracking spreadsheet and information regarding the MN
Homeownership Center's (MNHOC) free foreclosure prevention counseling and MNHOC's Look
Before You Leap foreclosure scam education campaign.
Staff will also be speaking at the upcoming Three River's Area Citizens League lunch on January
19`h along with Ed Nelson from MNHOC.
