SUBJECT: Heritage Festival Parade
Attached for your consideration is a letter from the Heritage Festival
Secretary/Treasurer which invites the City Council to participate in the
Heritage Festival Parade. This parade is on Sunday, August 10, 1997,
beginning at 1:00 p.m. Vehicles will be furnished for the Council to ride in.

On behalf of the Elk P~iver Heritage Festival, I invite you and the council members of Elk l~iver to
participate [u the Second Annual Elk P~iver Heritage Festival Parade on Sunday, August 10, 1997.
The parade will start at t:00 p.m. V~e will furnish vehicles for you to ride in.

members that will participate. More details will follow as the Parade Committee completes the
schedule.

· Why: 1. To raise money
2. To raise public awareness of E.R.S.I.

· What: 1. Music: Live Baflds and other music.
2. Beach Party: Beach Volleyball, other.
3. Food
4. Skateboarding?
5. Others to be decided.
· Fundraising: Food, T-shirts, Buttons, Stickers, donations, raffle?
· Need: 1. Permission of park use
2. Acceptance of skateboard demo
· Alternatives: 1. Use Lion's Park Bandshell area.
2. Fairgrounds Area.
