Street Department Purchase of
Refrigerator
I am requesting City Council approval for the purchase of a new refrigerator
for the Street Department break room. The cost, including tax, is $1,011.
The refrigerator will include a cooled water tap and an automatic ice maker.
I feel that this will provide cool water and ice to fill the water coolers that are
used on our job sites each day.
Funds for this purchase have been collected and saved by the sale of scrap
metal from the city recycling day and other scrap metal collected by the
Street/Park Department. Our present refrigerator was reclaimed from the
appliance recycle day and does not work very efficiently.
Action Requested
The City Council is asked to approve the purchase of a new refrigerator in
the amount of $1,011 from funds collected from the sale of scrap metal from
the city recycling day and other scrap metal collected by the Street/Park
Department.
