A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING A SOLAR ENERGY LEGACY GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River supports the grant application made to the Minnesota
Department of Natural Resources fox a Solaz Energy Legary Grant. The application is to
purchase, install, and interpret solar electric panels on the Great Noxthem Trail of the Elk
River Recreational Trail System. The project is located within Woodland Trails Paxk; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River recognizes the twenty-five (25) percent match
requirement fox the Solar Energy Legacy Giants, and has secured the matching funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED if the City of Elk River is awarded a grant
by the Minnesota Depaztment of Natural Resources, the City of Elk River agrees to accept
the grant awazd, and may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota fox the above
iefexenced project. The City of Elk River will comply with all applicable laws, environmental
requirements, and regulations as stated in the giant agreement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Elk River names the
fiscal agent fox the City of Elk River fox this project as:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Ciry of Elk River hereby assures the Solar Energy
Project will be maintained fox a period of no less than 20 years.
