RESOLUTION 1I-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING A SOLAR ENERGY LEGACY GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River supports the grant application made to the Mumesota
Department of Natural Resources for a Solar Energy Legacy Grant. The application is to
purchase, install, and interpret solar electric panels on the Great Northern Trail of the Elk
River Recreational Trail System. The project is located within Woodland Trails Park; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River recognizes the twenty-five (25) percent match
requirement for the Solar Energy Legacy Grants, and has secured the matching funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED if the City of Elk River is awarded a grant
by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the City of Elk River agrees to accept
the grant award, and may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above
referenced project. The City of Elk River will comply with all applicable laws, environmental
requirements, and regulations as stated in the grant agreement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Elk River names the
fiscal agent for the City of Elk River for this project as:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City of Elk River hereby assures the Solar Energy
Project will be maintained for a period of no less than 20 years.
