SUBJECT: 2005 Park Capital Improvement Plan Progress Report
2005 park improvement projects are moving forward. Staff is preparing Requests for
Proposals that will go out in the next two weeks. Components of the various projects
have been broken out individually in order receive the best prices possible
The Parks Capital Improvement budget for 2005 is $ 646, 700 plus a 10 percent
contingency. All proposals are to include installation by the contractor. It is anticipated
that a portion of the 10% contingency will be used for engineering costs related to
paving.
Paving of tennis courts, trails and parking lots will be included in the 2005 street
improvement project bid package. Miscellaneous park amenities, such as benches and
tables, will purchased after receiving at least three quotes.
