PRSR 08-10-2005Item # 6. ver MEMORANDUM TO: Parks and Recreation Commission FROM: Michele Bergh, Recreation Manager DATE: August 3, 2005 SUBJECT: Staff Report Hot Topic( of the Month We participated in the Sherburne County Fair parade on Friday, July 15`h for the second year. The theme the staff and children chose was Willy Wonka. They all worked together to decorate the float during the week and several program participants rode on the float during the parade. ,July Programs During July we offered the following programs: Yogilates, Cardio Sculpt, Beginner Step, Step, Intermediate Step, Kickboxing Circuit, Yoga, 50/50, Run/Walk Club, teen concerts in the park and at Emporium, Cheer America, Young Americans Self Defense, Eager Elks Soccer, Eager Elks Golf, Eager Elks T-ball, Eager Elks Tumbling, Parent/Child Yoga, Kids Cardio, Wiggles and Giggles, CRUNCH, Youth Golf Lessons and League, Summer Soccer League, Skyhawks Basketball, Skyhawks Cheerleading, 3`d Lair Skateboard Camp, Lions Den Sutnmer Camp, PARK, Golf Camp, Baseball Camp, Floor Hockey Camp, Favorite Phy Ed Games, Rec Express, Chttings, T-ball League, and Termite T-ball League. Facility Use We reserved over 500 hours of field use, over 50 hours of park and shelter use, 40 hours at Trott Brook Barn, 44 hours at Emporium, and 256 hours at Lions Park Center. Wellness Committee We have 9 employees participating in the Relay for Life on August 5`t. We will be sponsoring the moon walk at the event as well.
