Hot Topic( of the Month
The Lions Club donated 30 tickets to the Twins Game on August 21 s` as well as a bus to
Parks and Recreation. All who attended had a great time!
August Programs
During the month of August, the following programs were offered: Yogilates, Cardio
Sculpt, Beginner Step, Step, Intermediate Step, Kickboxing Circuit, Yoga, 50/50, Run/Walk
Club, Firearm Safety, Cheer America, Young Americans Self Defense, Kids Cardio,
Parent/Child Yoga, Tumbling, Tball, Wiggles and Giggles, Lacrosse Camp, Soccer League,
Skyhawks Hockey Dryland, Lions Den Summer Camp, PARK, Rec Express, Soccer Camp,
Flag Football Camp, Power Play Camp, Basketball Camp, Chitings, and Entertainment in the
Park.
Syecial Marketing Efforts
We collaborated with Anytime Fitness, The Bod Squad, John Joseph Salon, Elk River Fire,
DOJO Karate, Kennedy Vision Center, Balanced Being, Christian Builders, Operation
Foresight, and Northwest Medical Massage to provide a Fitness Fair on August 27`h. The
event took place in the parking lot at Anytime Fitness.
Facilit,~se
We had 365 hours of athletic facility use, 330 hours of indoor facility use, 31 hours of shelter
use, 7 hours of bandshell use and 41 hours of street use.
Wellness Committee
The Relay for Life event was a success. We raised approximately $1,200 and had 10 on our
team. The Wellness Committee is switching gears and will become the Health Rewards
Program Committee and we'll be working on next year's planning in September.
