SUBJECT: Stride, Glide, & Ride Update
Planning is underway for the fast annual Stride, Glide, & Ride which will be held on
Saturday, July 29~'. The five groups putting this event together are the BLAST Mountain
Bike Group, Big Tooth Sweet Tooth SK, Parks & Recreation, Elk River BMX, and Rick
Lorenzo's Canoe Crew.
The goals of the Stride, Glide, & Ride axe to develop a competition were the beginning
competitor can feel comfortable participating, get people to participate in events they may
have never tried before, and promote the many resources Elk River has to offer.
Each event will be separate and participants can either sign up for each of them separately,
or they can sign up fox the "Challenge". The Challenge will incorporate all three events and
a participant's total time fox all of the events will be used to determine their ranking.
Other events tentatively scheduled for this day axe a BMk Competition, Skateboard Contest,
and a concert.
