Mike Niziolek with the Wheels to Shoes organization is requesting use of Woodland Trails
for arunning/walking event on Saturday, July 1Q 2004 from 9-1lam. This event is a
fundraising event for the Courage Centex and they are hoping for approximately 250 people.
Infonnation for your consideration
• This is a resident group.
• The organizer of the event has been involved with many events in Woodland Trails
Park, all running without incident.
Staff Recommendations
• No fees or deposits charged fox use of the park.
• The Wheels to Shoes organization should coordinate signage with the Parks and
Streets Department.
• The route must be approved by the Police Department.
• The group be responsible for any expenses incurred such as extra portable toIlets or
police reserves as needed/required.
