Sign Quotes for Liquor Store Project
Attached for your consideration is some material from Mike Parsons,
Construction Manager for the Liquor Store project. The attached material
reviews the sign quotes for the store. There are two different quotes included
in the material. The first item to consider is the quote for the signs on the
building and for the sign that goes on the Sax pylon sign. The second item to
consider is the readerboard sign that is also on the building. The quotes were
very good and competitive. After discussing the issue with Mike Parsons,
everyone is in agreement with the recommendation as noted in his memo to
me. Please note that the Sign Solution quote is very close to the estimate
and that the Sign Crafters quote is far below the original estimate and
budget because the design of the sign was changed and reduced.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council award the building and Sax pylon
sign quote to Sign Solutions in the amount of $9,901.
It is recommended that the City Council award the readerboard quote to Sign
Crafters in the amount of $12,494.

Pat,. we are now ready to recommend the award of the signage worlc A recap of proposals received is
attached. Our recommendation is as follows:
Award the "Northbound Liquors" neon script letters (2 sets), Saks pylon sign and street letters
to Sign Solutions, Robbinsdale, MN for $9,901. With your okay a letter of intent to award a
contract will be issued.
Award the reader board to Sign ~raffers, Minneapolis, MN for $I2,494. A mock-up reader
board panel is scheduled to be on-site for the monthly coordination meeting July 1 st. We would
like to have your approval to award this work after seeing .the mock-up panel.
