SUBJECT: Major Park Use -Use of Orono Park Shelter #I for a wedding
and reception
Request
A request has been received by Tanya Witzke for use of Orono Park Shelter #t for a
wedding ceremony and reception. The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 20`s, 2011.
Requested time to use shelter is Gam-1 Opm which will include both set-up and tear-down of
20'x40' canopy tent, 150 chairs, eight tables and one arch along with the wedding and
reception. They are hoping for upwards of 160 guests.
Information for your consideration
• This is an Elk River resident
Staff Recommendations
• Fees charged similar to River's Edge Commons Park:
o $250 damage/cleaning deposit (refundable)
o $200 park use fee
• The group will be responsible for any expenses incurred such as extra portable toilets
or trash clean up as required.
