Cass Fields
The grading on the fields has been completed and the topsoil has been placed.
The irrigation is nearly completed which means that we are ready for water
and electricity.
I requested three quotes for an eight inch irrigation well and to date have
received the following two quotes:
· E.H. Renner- $19,684.65
· Bergerson Caswell- $20,720.65.
Anoka Electric Cooperative's charges for the electrical installation are
$4,120.
I would request that the City Council approve the E. H. Renner well quote
and the electrical hook-up charges from Anoka Electric Cooperative.
At a later date, we will be requesting approval for a 4 inch well for the
domestic water supply.
Soon the Round Up will be applied, the seed bed prepared and seeded. The
aglime and fencing are scheduled for this fall. Though not much is visible on
the surface, the work is progressing nicely.
The above figures are higher than the original estimate, but the total project
should still be within the construction budget of $200,000.
