SUBJECT: River Line Project
This project involves the abandonment of the river line sewer between Nile Place and the
Orono Dam. The sewer line is impossible to maintain and has deteriorated to the point of
no longer being reliable.
I have prepared and attached a map of the project area to this memo. The map identifies the
three phases previously discussed to complete the project.
When we last discussed this project at the January work session, Council directed staff to
gather some additional background information regarding history of ownership and previous
assessments levied against the properties along this project. I will be prepared to review the
project limits and discuss this project in further detail at the February 14, 2011 City Council
Workshop.
