SUBJECT: Visioning
In October the Council adopted the vision and goals staff developed during a two day
worksession that was held in September with Jermaine Davis. Subsequently, staff presented a
set of action steps to support the goals. The Council discussed the action steps and asked
staff to prioritize them and report back to the Council.
At Tuesday's worksession, Mr. Davis will lead the Council and staff in the next phase of the
visioning and goals setting process. As you know, a considerable amount of progress has
already been made and now Mr. Davis is back to facilitate a session during which he will
review what we have done since he was here last time and give us guidance on how to stay
the course in the future.
If you would like copies of previously distributed materials, you may either contact me for
copies or the documents can be found at the city's website under the following City Council
agenda packets:
• October 11, 2010 -Item # 5.1.
• October 18, 2010 -Item # 7.2.
• January 10, 2011 -Item # 5.1.
The discussion is expected to last four hours. We will take a short dinner break and hope to
conclude before 10 p.m.
