Council approval of retail fireworks license renewal for Cub Foods in Elk River. Renewals are valid for
one year from the date of approval.. The Fire Marshal has asked Ghat all retail firework licenses be
approved with the following two conditions:
1. TWO (2) FIRE EXTINGUISHERS MUST BE PLACED NEAR THE AREA OF THE
FIREWORKS DISPLAY. ONE (1) EXTINGUISHER MUST BE A WATER-BASED
PRESSURIZED EXTINGUISHER.
2. APPLICANT MUST CONTACT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AT 763.635.1110 AFTER
THE FIREWORKS DISPLAY IS SET UP FOR AN INSPECTION.
Background/Discussion
Cub Foods is requesting renewal of their retail fireworks license. The applicant has submitted all the
necessary application materials and successfully cleared a police department background check.
