Council Resolution Appointing Election
Judges
In accordance to Minnesota Statutes 204B.21(2), it is the City Councils
position to appoint the election judges for an election. The attached
resolution indicates the judges that will be working at the September 23,
1997, special city election. There will be four judges per ward.
ACTION REQUESTED
Council motion adopting the attached resolution appointing election
judges.

RESOLUTION 97-
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE SPECIAL
CITY ELECTION TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 23, 1997
WHEREAS, there will be a special election held on September 23, 1997; and
WHEREAS,
the special election is an election calling for the issuance of $2,000,000 of
general obligation bonds of the City for public park and recreational
facilities; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 204B.21(2) the City Council shall appoint
election judges for four wards within the City; and
WHEREAS,
all election judges appointed by the City Council are qualified to be
trained election judges and are certified by the county Auditor as trained
election judges.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
Minnesota, that the following persons be appointed as election judges to
serve at the special election on September 23, 1997.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Election Judges shall be paid for hours spent in
training and for hours worked at the following rates:
Chief Election Judges - $7.00/Hr.
Asst. Chief Election Judges - $6.50/Hr.
Election Judges - $6.00/Hr.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 18th day of August,
