ACTION REQUESTED
The Mayor and Council are asked to adopt the attached resolution acknowledging the monetary donation
from the Zimmerman Fire Department Relief Association pursuant to Minnesota State Statute X465.03.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Elk River Fire Department received a $500.00 donation from the Zimmerman Fire Department
Relief Association with the intent that the money be used for the purchase of technical rescue equipment.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
A $500.00 contribution was received

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $500.00 donation from the Zimmerman Fire
Relief Association with the intent it be used by the Elk River Fire Department to purchase
technical rescue equipment; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ciry Council of the City of Elk River,
by at least atwo-thirds vote, to acknowledge the support and commend the Zimmerman
Fire Relief Association for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the Ciry Council of the City of Elk River this 2°d day of May 2011.
