SUBJECT: Direction on Liquor License Renewals for Wapiti Park
Campground
Liquor licenses are valid from July 1 to June 30 the following year. Renewals for all
establishments axe in process and are due to staff for review by today, Monday, May 16.
Typically some establishments do not meet the deadline date for submitting their application
materials. Staff can provide an update as to whether Wapiti has submitted renewal
applications for their liquor licenses at tonight's meeting.
If Wapiti submits renewal applications, staff would like direction from Council on how to
proceed. If Council wishes to consider denial of the license renewals, staff would
recommend scheduling a hearing for the Monday, June 20 Council meeting to ensure that
Wapiti Park Campground is provided an opportunity to be heard on the matter.
