Garage Sale - We had 84 homes participate in our first community garage sale on Saturday,

some money.
Skate Park Completion -The skatepark is complete and busy just about every day.
Lions Park Center -The remodeling will be complete the week of June 14's. It looks great
so fax and the conrsactors have been wonderful to work fox.
Coloring Contest - We ran a coloring contest along with our Summer Kickoff event and
also had the children suggest a name for our new lion, who is now known as Leo. Our
kickoff event was a success, once again, in spite of the rain. We had 200-250 attend.
Ice Show -Our 7"' annual ice show was held May 14/15 at the Arena. This year's theme
was the Wizard of Oz.
Annual End of the Yeax Concert Bash at the Bandshell - We had 200-250 students attend
our annual end of the school year context in the park on May 28"'. The skatepark was a
great addition to this event -providing them with another activity while they were here for
the show. We had 10 bands signed up to play.

Re: Monthly Project Update
Date: June 2, 2004
Hi Michelle,
We are continuing our work on the inventory; efforts during May included the public Open House on May
13, and processing the landowner response cards that have been returned (Task 4: Landowner Contact).
To date, approximately 450 response cards have been received at our offices and entered into ArcView,
with 233 respondents denying property access, and most of the remainder granting access; approximately
30 - 35 landowners have requested additional information about the project before they determine whether
to allow property access. We are continuing our efforts to contact these landowners in order to answer their
questions about the project and uses of the resulting data. Nearly all of the respondents that we have
talked to granted property access.
We are still receiving 10 - 12 contact cards per week, although the rate of return has slowed considerably.
Current and upcoming steps include continue finalizing preliminary digitizing of landcover polygons,
landcover coding(MLCCS), and finalizing field maps.
If you have any questions about the project or any of the work that's been completed to date, please feel
free to contact us.
Thank you,
Paul Bockenstedt
