Consider Bids for Fencing of Elk River
Youth Athletic Complex Baseball Fields
On September 19, 1997, bids were received for the materials and installation
of the back stops and fencing at the four baseball fields on 165th and Jarvis.
Seven sets of specifications went out and the following two bids were
received:
· Ed's Fencing Elk River $51,553.16
· Century Fence Forest Lake $63,449.64
Request
As the budget estimate was $52,000.00, I would request City Council
approval of the $51,553.16 bid from Ed's Fencing. This is in effort to keep the
field development on the proposed time line for an anticipated open date of
May, 1998.
